The AT&T Property & Cost Accounting team supports AT&T and many of its subsidiaries with Property & Cost accounting services. We are dedicated to ensuring the accuracy of the Fixed Assets and Project Accounting data account balances as they interact with the General Ledger.
This position will focus on cost recovery for AT&T’s work performed by the Network organization.
Responsibilities, education and experience:
Collects data, allocates costs and develops reports on labor, equipment, depreciation, assembly or other operating expenses.
Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of project costs to provide accurate and actionable insights to management.
Variance Analysis: Analyze and explain variances between actual costs and budgeted costs.
Communication Skills: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide corrective actions and resolutions.
Coordinate complex reimbursements with state governmental entities.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies related to cost accounting.
Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to enhance cost accounting processes, streamline workflows, and improve data accuracy.
General Ledger Responsibilities: Reconciliations, journal entries, month-end accounting close
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications with an emphasis on Excel
Working knowledge of Oracle or other relevant financial software a plus.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Experience:Requires 5-7 years' experience.

Our Lead Accountant, earn between $106,100 - $178,200. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
