Accounting Position - Pooled Trust Program Director
The Pooled Trust Program Director provides the management and distribution of the Trust Assets. Primary functions include overseeing the Master Trust(s) held by The Arc New Mexico, including discretionary authority; assisting clients with financial support to safeguard individual assets to maintain benefits and improve quality of life while conforming to regulations and compliance functions required by law. The role also involves leading community outreach on the needs of individuals with disabilities.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
- Manage pooled trust fund distributions and maintain trust files.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial, estate, and income tax planning concepts.
- Invest and manage trust property following the terms of the trust and state law, in the beneficiary’s best interests.
- Meet compliance, account administration, and customer service requirements of all Trust(s) in light of law, regulation, policies, and governing agreements.
- Keep up with SSI and Medicaid income and resource rules.

EDUCATION & RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 3 years trust operations experience.
Preferred: Legal and financial experience.
