Position Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst, Control Devices will provide direct analytical support to the Finance Manager for Control Devices. This position will interact with, support, and assist the Finance and Accounting teams at Control Devices’ three operating locations (Lexington, Ohio; Juarez, Mexico; and Suzhou, China), as well as support the functional cost activities falling under SG&A and D&D.
This team member will support the planning and analysis process for Control Devices to provide meaningful insights based on data and will support real-time problem solving throughout the organization.
Major Responsibilities
- Collaborate with and support cross-functional leaders in the analysis of financial information and serve as a key business partner to the operating locations.
- Assist the consolidation, review, and analysis of the weekly financial forecasts that are submitted by the sites, which provide the “best estimate” of financial performance for the month.
- Assist the consolidation, review, and analysis of the budgeting and forecasts that are submitted by the sites.
- Assist the consolidation, review, and analysis of the month-end financial results that are submitted by the sites.
- Monitor key metrics and provide insight regarding financial issues and opportunities and as necessary lead the investigation of any issues through structured problem solving.
- Support Sales, Program Management, Divisional Leadership, Corporate Accounting, Engineering, and Research & Development to guide and develop forecasts, budgets, and analyze actuals.
- Drive change throughout the organization to enhance processes and systems to facilitate efficiency in gathering and analyzing financial information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 2-5 years related experience.
- Strong Accounting background.
- Proficient with US GAAP.
- Ability to think creatively and to analyze data to identify and solve problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and articulate ideas, results of financial analysis, and actionable recommendations.
- Expertise with MS Office Tools; PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Automotive experience (preferred).
