Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Monthly/quarterly income tax accounting efforts including:
- Review of income tax information provided by non-US controllers.
- Calculation of quarterly global effective tax rate utilizing the principles of ASC 740.
- Ensure coordination between US and non-US processes.
- Review and approval of global income tax analysis files and required journal entries.
- Coordination of recurring deliverables as part of the month-end close and financial statement audit process.
- Support the Director, Global Income Tax Accounting with quarter-end and year-end reporting processes for the consolidated financial statements, including:
- Detailed global income tax calculation at year-end and roll forward of deferred taxes for global locations, utilizing a legal entity tax package model.
- Analyze and document valuation allowance analyses and conclusions.
- FIN 48 analyses and interest calculations, as well as review of tabular roll forward.
- Summary of global income tax data and drafting income tax footnote disclosure.
• Calculate and record the Pillar Two impact for ASC 740 purposes on a quarterly/annual basis.
• Manage the global income tax forecasting process with a specific focus on cash taxes.
• Special projects include process development and systems implementations, automation of tax processes, coordination with business units, and various tax technical issues.
• Research and provide oral/written advice to the business on global tax accounting matters such as deferred taxes, especially related to contemplated business transactions.
• Monitor global tax legislation and FASB updates, with an income tax impact, and advise tax team as appropriate.
• Manage and develop direct reports as well as assist in building skills in the tax team.
• Communicate global tax positions and developments effectively – orally and in writing – to the Director, Global Income Tax Accounting.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree is required. Accounting or finance preferred.
- Master’s Degree or certification (CPA) preferred.
- 7+ years of corporate tax experience in the income tax accounting (ASC 740) area. Experience in a Big-4 firm and/or with a U.S.-based multinational strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of supervisory management experience.
- Must have strong knowledge of U.S. federal tax compliance requirements.
- Exceptional business communication skills with ability to effectively relate tax issues to non-tax personnel.
- Track record of effectively managing a team; strong consensus builder and team player.
