Job Profile
The bank is seeking a Portfolio Analyst who will facilitate decisions and analysis of all types of credit information to support lending decisions and processes for the bank.
Maintains and promotes a client service environment to satisfy and exceed customer needs and expectations.
Make credit decisions and recommendations under sound credit-granting principles and in compliance with Bank Policies and Procedures.
Education Level
Work Experience
- Typically, 2-3 years of relevant experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- BMO Credit Qualification within 1 year of assignment
Duties/Responsibilities
- Acts timely, efficiently, and independently, taking ownership of client satisfaction.
- Analyzes financial information, tax returns, credit bureau reports, and other related materials
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
- Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Facilitates decision and analysis of all types of credit information to support lending decisions and processes for the bank.
- Make credit decisions or recommendations by sound credit-granting principles and compliance with Bank Policies and Procedures
- Minimizes BMO’s risk exposure by adhering to internal credit policies and procedures for lending decisions.
- Partners with internal stakeholders for accurate, detailed client information.
- Thinks creatively and proposes new solutions.
- With minimal oversight, perform collateral margining verification calculations to determine borrowing base availability
- With minimal oversight, perform financial covenant compliance calculations within the assigned portfolio to identify deteriorating credit conditions and compliance with the loan agreement
- Works mostly independently.
