The Financial Shared Services team is looking for an Accounting Analyst 3/4 who will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the digital transformation for the Accounts Payable and Cash Management Department. This role will be located in our Irving, Texas office and does not offer a full-time telecommuting arrangement. Our ideal candidate will maximize team members’ levels of active engagement by becoming a ‘smart, data-driven’ organization.
The Analyst will have the opportunity to develop and improve digital strategy for the organization by using technology, people and processes to do everything faster, more cost-effectively, and on a more automated basis. The Analyst will continue to drive our culture shift in how we work and learn, moving to data-driven decisions, failing faster and embracing an Agile mindset. The Analyst will assure consistent application of policy and process of invoices and prevent unauthorized payments daily by reviewing and analyzing control log reports and working with subject matter experts.
Other tasks include developing and maintaining data analytics and metrics, support for key processing cycles, and assisting all areas of AP and Cash Management when needed to provide high quality customer service.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 4, Senior Principal Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field with at least 10 years’ of related experience or 6 years of experience with a master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Good time management and prioritization skills are essential
- Customer service mindset
- SAP experience (S4 HANA)
- Expert Proficiency in Excel
- Experience in a financial services environment
- Experience designing and reporting metrics
- Government contracting experience
- Understanding of FAR, GAAP, CAS, and SOX requirements
Preferred Qualifications for a Level 4, Senior Principal Accountant:
- BI-HANA, Creating CVGs in Eclipse
- Accounts Payable Audit and controls
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience in using and writing formulas in Alteryx
- Experience designing and reporting metrics
- Robotics Process Automations

Salary Range: $77,000 – $115,400
Salary Range 2: $95,400 – $143,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
