We are looking for a passionate Sr. Compensation Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in shaping our compensation strategies.
In this role, you will provide expert consultation and analysis to ensure our pay decisions align with Vitalant’s compensation philosophy, fostering employee engagement and supporting our unique culture. You will evaluate job roles, develop and maintain job descriptions, and ensure our job architecture reflects the evolving needs of the organization. By participating in compensation surveys and conducting in-depth research on market trends, pay equity, and competitiveness, you’ll help keep us at the forefront of industry standards.
Additionally, you will manage the administration and data of our compensation market analysis tool, ensuring accuracy and alignment with our goals. This position will work in the Scottsdale, AZ National Headquarters 3 days a week and work from home 2 days a week.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consults with HR Partner and leaders regarding compensation policy interpretation, market analysis, job evaluation and other compensation projects and initiatives.
- Manages the administration of job analysis process using market survey sources and internal equity analysis. Completes regular broad based market studies and makes recommendations based on market data and trends.
- Manages the library of job descriptions across all functions. Creates and maintains documentation around job architecture titling and grading guidance for HR Partners and operational leaders.
- Implements and administers the annual merit, leadership incentive awards and staff monetary recognition programs.
- Stays abreast of federal, state and city minimum wage changes while evaluating financial and compression impacts.
- Partners with Talent Acquisition to provide guidance on market competitive hiring rates, market trends and analyze the appropriate compensation on hard to fill jobs.
- Provides ad-hoc analysis and guidance to HR Partners and operational leaders on locations that are experiencing high turnover as a result of local competitors that are recruiting at a higher wage.
- Manages the data in Compensation Management analysis/market pricing solution that provides compensation market data and analytics. Develops subject matter expertise on tools and resources and utilizes the software platform to its fullest potential.
- Develops and executes compensation related training and communications. Ensures training and communications are effectively distributed using various channels including partnering with the internal communications team.
- Conducts regular audits and analysis on pay equity across the enterprise. Reports findings and makes recommendations on how to bridge any gaps, including financial impact.
Knowledge/Education
- Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent combination of education and experience in compensation and/or benefits required.
- Familiarity with applicable state and federal wage and hour regulations required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge required.
Licenses/Certifications
- PHR, CCP or equivalent (World At Work) certification preferred.
Experience
- Five years of related Human Resources experience to include:
- Three years compensation management experience required ideally in a healthcare organization.
- Experience working with HR systems required.
- Experience working with external market survey software platforms required.
- Experience with CompAnalyst preferred.
- Experience with Workday preferred.
