The Position:
The position will be responsible for all activities related to recording and analyzing financial transactions in support of the month-end close process in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. We are looking for a detail-oriented self-starter with time management skills to handle multiple deadlines. To be successful, the candidate needs complete working knowledge of the entire accounting close process, be willing to manage large volumes of journal entries and account reconciliations and possess good technical ability with Excel and accounting systems.
- Preparation of month-end journal entries including review and preparation of revenue entries
- Prepare weekly revenue dashboard
- Prepare monthly commissions calculations and quarterly commission true up
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet accounts
- Reconcile quarter-end inventory to physical count
- Review and analyze monthly income statement and balance sheet for multiple branches
- Assist with the year-end audit
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
- Identify opportunities and implement solutions for processes
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- Provide ad-hoc support to the department
Schedule:
- Typical Business Hours 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Experience in an Accounting position, preferably with a mid-size company with multiple locations is a plus
- Expertise with Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with intercompany transactions
- Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite accounting system a plus
- Knowledge of accruals and T&E systems, preferably Concur
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly
- Ability to remain flexible and respond to changing priorities while remaining focused on results
