This role will collaborate closely with executive and program leadership to uphold the highest standards of fiscal oversight and customer service across all facets of network operations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and manage the accounting department staff
- Assist in new customer development and growth of accounting services business
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General ledger entry and preparation
- Monitoring cash status
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Preparation of monthly financial statements
- Prepare and submit monthly cost reports and invoice to funders and customers
- Review and ensure accurate submission of payroll. Apply all payroll standards required by state and federal law.
- Assist in preparation of annual budget
- Prepare year-end audit schedules and work with external auditor
- Prepare fiscal analyses, forecasts, and projections for CEO/COO
- Financial presentations to Board of Trustees
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong, transparent, high-integrity leadership
- Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
- Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills in bringing people together to solve problem
- High competency in the use of Excel
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
- 5-8 years related experience
- Experience in nonprofit accounting preferred
- Experience managing accounting staff preferred
