Lead Compensation Analyst

Hybrid role with some onsite requirements
If they travel to the campus for meetings/training etc., Client will NOT cover travel costs. For example, if they are required to be in Dallas for a meeting or training, Client will not reimburse for any travel at all.
Open to relocation
Salary: $120k-$130k
Interview Process: 5-7 steps

Position Summary:
The Lead Compensation Consultant works under minimal direction to provide professional and technical expertise in planning compensation projects and programs. The role involves leading large-scale compensation projects and analysis, as well as providing leadership, mentoring, and technical knowledge to the department. The Consultant will research and analyze trends, best practices, and program changes.
Job Duties:
- Serve as the Compensation Lead and Subject Matter Expert for institutional areas (e.g., Hospital, University, Research, etc.)
- Lead large-scale and complex compensation projects (e.g., job architecture, salary structure design, technology implementation)
- Upgrade and develop compensation software systems and platforms
- Conduct qualitative/quantitative analysis on compensation structures and programs
- Identify and recommend best practices for compensation programs
- Assist in developing and implementing compensation strategies to improve operational productivity
- Supervise and mentor Compensation team members as needed
- Provide backup assistance to the Compensation Manager
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of compensation strategies, best practices, and regulations
- Ability to consult and drive organizational change in a dynamic environment
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid knowledge of FLSA and Wage and Hour laws
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong consultative skills for working with all levels of management
- Ability to manage complex projects in a large academic medical center
- Ability to function independently with high autonomy and discretion
Experience and Education:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 7 years of experience, including 2 years of progressive compensation program design, implementation, and administration
- 5 years of Hospital Compensation experience
- Leadership or Supervisory Experience
Preferred:
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or PHR/SPHR certification
- Experience with data analytics software and HCM applications (PeopleSoft, MarketPay, Payscale)
- Experience in a matrixed environment in project or change management
