Position Summary
BSA Analysts for the Wintrust BSA/AML functional unit are responsible for the enterprise-wide review of the daily alert monitoring of potential suspicious activity, detection, disposition and documentation. The position supports the overall BSA compliance efforts as required under the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA Patriot Act and the Bank’s BSA/AML/OFAC Compliance Program and Procedures.
What You'll Do
- Review and analyze BSA monitoring alerts from the automated monitoring system and specialized reports to identify unusual activity patterns in customer activity as it relates to BSA red flags.
- Conduct research using available bank systems to assist in the completion of the review.
- Provide clear and accurate assessment of the review with corresponding documentation for each of the dispositions.
- Escalate potentially suspicious activity for further investigation.
- Review and analyze legal requests, unusual activity reports, and fraud reports from all lines of businesses.
- Communicate internally to all lines of business to obtain additional information, and upon receipt, documenting to complete analysis.
- Attend BSA training sessions.
- Provide guidance and support to business lines, corporate units and compliance officers.
Qualifications And Experience
- 2-3 years banking experience.
- 1-2 years BSA/AML experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of various laws, regulations and guidance as it relates to BSA, AML and OFAC.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, problem solving, and time management skills.
- Experience with Actimize or other BSA/AML monitoring system preferred.
