The Position
Our bank client is seeking to fill a Commercial Credit Analyst role in the Milwaukee, WI market. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the appropriate credit analysis and risk rating package for review. The position includes a generous salary of up to $75K and an excellent benefits package.
Commercial Credit Analyst responsibilities include:
- Analyzing and underwriting new business loan requests, renewals, and annual reviews for management review.
- Completing underwriting of simple credits as assigned/determined by supervisor.
- Collaborating with supervisor and Business Loan Officers to ensure all aspects of the underwriting process are completed and presented thoroughly so loans can be decisioned.
- Requesting necessary financial statements for the completion of annual reviews as assigned by supervisor.
- Assisting with contacting business clients, accountants, attorneys, or other necessary professionals to clarify questions related to the preparation of the credit analysis package as needed.
- Requesting and analyzing all necessary collateral documents and taking a proactive approach in resolving any issues.
- Performing loan audit review work as assigned.
- Completing annual reviews, assigned by supervisor, as per the requirements of the business loan policy and the dates established in the credit analysis package.
- Analyzing and studying the trends to determine the appropriate risk rating.
- Making recommendations on risk rating changes.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and at least two years of experience in a credit-based environment or financial institution.
- Course work or experience within accounting or financial analysis. Knowledge of business credit documentation and business collateral documents preferred.
- Ability to gain proficiency in software or systems used for credit analysis, and deposit and loan products.
- Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position.
- Must possess attention to detail, accuracy in work performed, and have the ability to multi-task while maintaining focus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as a valuable team member in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent PC skills required; must demonstrate the ability to mentor/coach other team members while completing own work at a high level.
