Position Overview: Our agency seeks a motivated and dedicated team player to join us as a Personal Lines Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of personal lines insurance accounts through the Applied Epic agency management system, providing exceptional service and support, and ensuring the continued success of our clients. The position requires a focus on the affluent (high-net-worth) market space in the Dallas region communities. The position will involve direct communications with insurance carriers, brokers, and insureds. Experience with successful coverage bindings is required.
Work Arrangement: This is a full-time position with four expected days in our Dallas TX office each week (one work from home day per week post-onboarding).
Professional Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate technical expertise in personal lines insurance to assist clients and prospects.
- Manage new and renewal client business using Applied Epic agency management system.
- Prepare documents for renewal terms.
- Adhere to document retention and software documentation guidelines.
- Serve as a point of contact with agency producers.
- Stay up to date and be knowledgeable about our personal lines’ product suite.
- Develop and sustain positive relationships with carriers, clients, and agency personnel.
- Deliver exceptional client service and always follow through on client inquiries.
- Utilize carrier online rating programs as necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of policy forms and endorsements with the ability to explain detailed coverage provisions to the client.
- Design insurance programs for clients based on tailored, individual needs.
- Utilize agency management system to monitor pre-defined activities.
- Identify and address any coverage gaps with the producer, the carrier, and the client.
- Serve as agency’s subject matter expert/resource in areas mutually agreed upon.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Possess an active Property and Casualty Insurance license (state of Texas).
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in personal lines insurance for an independent agency or a large direct carrier agency.
- Experience providing personal lines insurance services to an affluent market space.
- Prior work experience with the Applied Epic agency management system.
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite tools.
- Demonstrated success in providing exceptional customer service effectively.
- Collaborative and works well in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future.
