Join Our Team as a Senior Accountant!

This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across all three financial statements, with a specific focus on managing a portion of the company’s inventory accounting. Responsibilities
- Participate in the month-end close process ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries.
- Manage a portion of the company’s inventory accounting, including tracking, valuation, and reconciliation.
- Perform complex reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations, and investigate any discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory transactions such as scrap, recoveries, stock adjustments, and transfers, and provide monthly reporting metrics to management.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, highlighting key insights and trends to assist management in decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and enhance internal controls.
- Maintain system reports and address integration issues related to mapping.
- Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in the development and documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls related to inventory.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant accounting standards.
- Assist in audits and respond to inquiries from auditors as needed.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations.
- Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA is a plus although not required.
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience in inventory accounting.
- 7+ years’ experience in professional accounting.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel skills highly desired.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation
Total Compensation: $90-110k
