Asset Management Senior Consultant
POWER’s Advanced Utility Solutions (AUS) team is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our team of industry experts as we continue building the digital utility of the future! We are looking for a highly technical asset management practitioner and software implementer that can use their expertise to design, develop, and deploy asset management solutions for our industry-leading clients.
The selected individual may be able to work remotely or out of one of our many office locations.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
The Asset Management Senior Consultant will have the following roles and responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement asset management solutions for our utility and municipal government clients.
- Lead technical workshops to successfully deliver asset management system requirements, design, configuration, testing, training, and support.
- Build connections with new and existing clients through outstanding customer service and trust.
- Provide high-quality (and timely) written and oral communications both internally and with clients.
- Develop documentation for all phases of the project life cycle.
- Participate in business development activities as needed.
- Participate in strategic business unit initiatives and help to improve business unit processes, procedures, templates, and guidelines.
- Exhibit a passion for working effectively as part of a team and be able to collaborate and accept/provide feedback to teammates.
- Mentor and motivate junior-level team members as needed.
Required Education/Experience:
The AUS Senior Consultant must have the following experience, skills, and knowledge:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in GIS, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, other technical science degree, or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of experience implementing GIS-centric solutions either as a professional services consultant or as an employee of a utility company or city/county government.
- Experience deploying FME-based solutions either as a professional services consultant or as an employee of a utility company or city/county government.
- Experience configuring and deploying Cityworks and/or Trimble Asset Management software and Esri ArcGIS software platform either as a professional services consultant or as an employee of a utility company or city/county government.
- Excellent professional, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
It is advantageous for the applicant to have the following experience, skills, and knowledge:
- Familiarity with the work processes of electric, gas, and water utilities and public works departments.
- Project implementation lifecycle experience (Requirements, Development, Training, Deployment).
- Experience with one or more Asset Management systems such as Cityworks, SAP, Maximo, Lucity, Infor, Cartegraph.
- Experience with one or more permitting systems such as Cityworks PLL, Accela, CityView, EnerGov, TRAKiT.
- Experience integrating GIS with Asset Management Systems, Customer Information Systems, and Accounting Systems.
- Experience with SQL Server and Oracle including writing database update scripts and creating database reports using Crystal and SSRS.

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $90K - $120K per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
