The Internal Auditor is a full-time position located on the OCH Campus in Monroe, NC. Under the direction of the Director of College Compliance, the Internal Auditor will be responsible for planning, performing, and reporting on business processes to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, laws, and regulations to determine whether the processes contain appropriate internal controls, identify causes or contributing factors relating to problems, and recommend the best approach for implementing improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Examine and analyze records, implementing quality assurance programs to verify the accuracy and overall efficiency of internal controls.
- Work with management to implement appropriate strategies.
- Interact effectively, cooperatively, and tactfully with students, business/industry, government, community representatives, faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Serve as a value-driven internal consultant and change agent.
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate and appropriate student, instructor, and course program documentation.
- Assist with Compliance Reviews.
- Prepare and maintain training materials for electronic attendance and related attendance materials.
- Provide consistent and ongoing coaching and training to appropriate staff to ensure accurate file management.
- Run and prepare multiple internal audit (XP) reports.
- Review submitted attendance records and initiate communication with instructors or appropriate staff to correct errors.
- Maintain quality assurance review to minimize errors and maximize revenue in the submission of the CU/CE ICR and CE Registration Reports.
- Submit reports by the state deadline.
- Assist in the management and maintenance of the Continuing Education Accountability and Integrity Plan.
- Manage class visitation in support of the Accountability and Integrity Plan.
- Prepare Visitation Report at the end of each term.
- Update the South Piedmont NC Works program data.
- Review curriculum schedules to ensure rosters are generated properly.
- Build local course codes for non-credit classes.
- Participate on college committees and ad hoc teams as assigned and participate in campus activities and college events as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement and professional development activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of College Compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- Five or more years of administrative experience.
- Proficiency in all MS Office products.
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in applying laws and regulations relating to maintenance of records.
- Experience in identifying problems and creating innovative solutions.
- Evidence of a quality of work that reveals focused attention to detail and thoroughness.
