What is the role?
We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and dynamic individual to join the Marketing, Communications, Fundraising & Partnerships team. In this role you will deliver our fundraising strategy to shape our future ambitions and improve the experience for our donors.
Under the direction of the Head of Fundraising & Marketing, you’ll manage and develop our fundraising activities to generate unrestricted income, with a real focus on individual giving and donor stewardship, events and community fundraising.
What will you be doing?
In this role, you will collaborate with the Head of Fundraising & Marketing and senior managers to execute the Fundraising Strategy, focusing on income generation from individuals, events, and community engagements. You will lead the planning and delivery of high-quality fundraising events throughout the football season, including matchday activities like raffles and auctions, while managing a supporter stewardship program to ensure donors feel valued. Additionally, you'll administer the matchday lottery, working with marketing and communications teams on promotional strategies to enhance donor acquisition and retention.
Manage our supporter database with a focus on prospecting new donors, developing innovative fundraising initiatives and ensuring timely communication with supporters. You will provide line management to the Events Officer, contribute to idea generation within the team, and manage online giving platforms. Furthermore, you'll ensure all fundraising activities comply with legislation and GDPR guidelines, while supporting departmental administration, including donor acknowledgments and donation processing.
Is this you?
Experience of working effectively in a multi-faceted Charity in a marketing and/or fundraising role with exposure to a diverse range of campaigns and streams of income, in order to generate income of £1million+ is essential. You will have a passion for our cause and a connection to the experiences of our beneficiaries and the community, with the ability to connect this to income generation.
You will be a highly competent communicator, with strong written and organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. With considerable experience of building positive relationships at all levels, both internally and externally, you will have a natural enthusiasm to act as the steward of our donors and their gifts, connecting them to the charity’s work and maximising funds for the charity.
The ability to prioritise and balance a range of priorities and a varied workload will be required in order to ensure key tasks are completed in accordance with work plans. Experience of line management, with the ability to influence and develop people, work with and through others to achieve positive results for the team.
