POSITION PURPOSE
The primary function of this position is to support the monthly accounting closes by performing analyses within the department and preparing audit support to ensure the successful completion of all audits.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
DATA ENTRY & INTEGRITY:
- Prepare and support all required journal entries
- Prepare support for tax returns
- Review BVRs to ensure proper coding and classification
- Serve as administrator for the banking system
REPORTING & ANALYSIS:
- Perform and assist with our day-to-day operational accounting and monthly close process.
- Prepare monthly journal entries for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations, review journal entries and conduct financial statement analytics.
- Monthly cash reconciliations
- Provide support in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements for NPP and PDI
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, monitor and analyze departmental and company-wide budgets and forecasts, providing insights on financial performances and variances.
CLIENT ENGAGEMENT:
- Significant auditor interaction with PWC, banks and all state audits.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:
- In-depth understanding of GAAP
- Advanced excel skills and good understanding of systems
SPECIAL PROJECTS:
- Support the implementation of new ERP system.
- Assist in the development of new processes to improve the timeliness and accuracy of current reporting and analysis.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
- Ability to complete various tasks while adhering to deadlines
- Ability to understand advanced accounting and draw appropriate conclusions that result in necessary journal entries
- Continuous process improvement
- Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance or equivalent work experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Advanced excel skills and understanding of GAAP
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 5-10 years of accounting experience

SALARY RANGE:
- $85,000 - $105,000 annually
