Founded in 2016, our client is a provider of SaaS-based scheduling, workforce management, and business intelligence solutions for healthcare facilities. They are based in Springville, Utah, and is backed by Greenridge Growth Partners, a leading private equity firm based in Austin, Texas.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Controller to own and drive all aspects of the accounting and financial operations. This position will report directly to the CEO and is an opportunity to help scale a fast-growing SaaS business. The ideal candidate is a builder and self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing and managing multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Direct, in coordination with external bookkeepers and resources as needed, the monthly close process and the preparation and timely issuance of the organization’s monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Support company leadership by providing strategic financial advice based on company goals.
- Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts including monthly account balance reconciliation and timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Implement and maintain an effective system of internal controls that comply with local, state, and federal regulatory and registration matters.
- Manage and execute customer invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, and payroll processes.
- Manage company’s internal systems for financial controls and reporting.
- Support company leadership in the development of the annual operating plan, budgeting and forecasting activities for the organization.
- Lead end of year tax preparation activities in coordination with tax advisors, including filings at the federal and state level, research tax credit coordination, etc.
- Primary owner and day-to-day benefits management through the Company’s PEO and benefits administrators.
- Own and execute all company compensation policies, including variable compensation design and calculation in accordance with leadership guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or in finance or a CPA preferred.
- 4+ years of experience overseeing full-cycle accounting for growth stage companies, especially SaaS or B2B technology companies that are institutionally (private equity or venture capital) backed.
- 10+ years professional accounting experience.
- Strong communication skills and experience reporting on and delivering financial results to key stakeholders such as executives and investors.
- Experience administering and working with software systems to support financial and accounting processes.
- Familiarity with tax and compliance requirements.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to manage priorities and work cross-functionally and proactively to drive results.
- FP&A or HR experience is a plus.
- Experience with M&A and post-merger integration is a plus.
