We are hiring a Plant Accounting Manager at our food manufacturing facility in Fargo, ND. You will oversee all aspects of financial accounting and reporting for our manufacturing plant. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the plant accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions and reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to provide insights into plant performance and profitability and makes recommendation to plant and financial management to transform plant operational performance.
- Coordinate and participate in the annual budgeting process for the plant, working closely with plant management and cross functional finance teams.
- Lead the cost accounting function, including the analysis of manufacturing costs, variances, and overhead allocation, to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Provide financial analysis and support for capital expenditure projects, including ROI analysis and post-implementation reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial data and analysis to support strategic decision-making, and to reduce costs.
- Manages, trains and develops a team of finance/accounting professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including cost accounting methodologies.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information effectively.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or other manufacturing accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and empower a team.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
