The Business Analyst role core responsibilities will involve utilizing technical systems and programs to access the target client’s data to leverage this data to translate into value-added analytics and decision support solutions. The Business Analyst will utilize the analytical output to ensure continuous improvement, efficiencies, and maximization of cost savings for the underlying fleet and will be able to communicate the results and findings in an understandable and actionable way to stakeholders.
Essential Functions:
- Manage and complete ad hoc analysis requests as well as recommend and prepare analytics that will support client and Wheels Financial services initiatives.
- Improve utilization of proprietary (Client, Wheels) and industry data to support client decision making and responsiveness.
- Communicate analysis findings, verbally and in writing, through meetings, white papers, and emails to portray the knowledge, confidence, and meticulousness of a strategic program partner and expert in fleet management.
- Tactfully handle multiple competing, and often short-term, timelines while providing service excellence towards all work.
- Use standard reporting software tools to extract and format data required for analytical reporting.
- Analyze and interpret information to determine cause & effect factors and trends relating to operational performance and communicate these findings verbally and in writing to stakeholders.
- Follow data mining techniques to gather relevant information from client and entire client data sets for internal and external benchmarking purposes to leverage best practices.
- Provide specific recommendations based on sound logic and knowledge of fleet operations and industry trends.
- Ability to explain data trends through understanding of client operational and fleet business data levers and underlying root causes.
- Meet with specific client stakeholders and other subject matter experts to gather requirements and understand specifications for Business Reviews, SLA reporting, key operational projects, and any additional reporting/analytical needs.
- Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to convey meaning and interpretation of data conclusions to internal and external clients.
- Collaborate with key partners and subject matter experts to analyze processes and system functionality, identifying pain points, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop meaningful reports for leadership with root cause analysis.
- Use both standard processes and independent thought processes to derive conclusions from data trends.
- Actively pursue best practices in the area of analytics and related technical areas by leveraging available formal (classroom or online training, industry events) and informal (existing team resources, independent research) resources.
- Communicate with co-workers, team members, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.

Job Specifications:
- This role can be in either Alpharetta, GA (preferred) or Des Plaines, IL.
- This is a full-time position and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Travel: Less than 10% overnight travel.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required and MBA preferred.
- 2-4 years’ experience as a corporate analyst in a financial services, operational or fleet management related experience highly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Proficient in Tableau (should be able to build comprehensive dashboards from data sets).
- Strong written and verbal client presentation skills required.
- Excellent time management, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
