Position Overview
This role will play a crucial role within the Pricing Strategy & Packaging team, contributing to Paylocity’s product monetization strategy. They will develop, evaluate and implement pricing strategies and models based upon current business and competitive market dynamics. This position will partner with and have direct exposure to senior Product Development and Go-To-Market senior leadership, with regular interaction with executives including the CEO and CFO.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Director & VP of business partners in the development of key strategic monetary planning and execution of pricing strategy to fuel strategic growth.
- Establish the development and optimization of Paylocity’s pricing and packaging strategy.
- Provide direction and insight for the integration of monetization components into product design with product development leaders.
- Conduct detailed competitive pricing and packaging research and analysis.
- Develop high priority financial models and present findings and recommendations on pricing and packaging to senior leadership.
- Partner with and drive cross-functional teams across product, sales & marketing, operations, and finance to support strategic recommendations.
- Monitor ongoing competitive environment to ensure practices do not adversely impact company reputation or customer satisfaction.
- Define KPIs and metrics to evaluate and report on effectiveness of pricing and packaging recommendations.
- Collaborate with go-to-market leaders to identify incremental monetization opportunities.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance or Marketing focus preferred).
- 2-4 years of investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate development, or transaction services required.
- Previous financial modeling experience required.
- Superior quantitative and analytical skills required.
- Previous pricing & packaging experience in B2B software preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SaaS-based pricing models and go-to-market strategies.
- Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong work ethic with a proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives without authority in a fast-paced, structured, and detail-oriented environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing executive-level financial and strategic presentations.

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $81,000 - $115,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
