POSITION SUMMARY:
This key role within the accounting department is focused on the efficient functioning of the department by working in all areas and accounts of the general ledger and related legal entities, payroll processing and key account reconciliations. Additionally, as a component of this role, you will collaborate with finance directors deployed within various business units to achieve cohesive and effective strategies across the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
- Work on assigned monthly closing items such as payroll posting, banking transactions, prepaid & accrual accounts and perform P&L closing review with Controller by business day 5 of each month.
- Account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts requiring a higher level of analysis and understanding; NIB Fees, Customer Support Funds, Cash Bank Accounts, IT Software & Hardware expenses, etc.
- Assist in weekly and monthly forecasts for revenue, gross margin, SG&A and op income.
- Track, analyze and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to empower decision-making and improve company operations.
- Research issues related to financial results and work with business partners to understand key financial issues and drivers while looking for ways to drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare and provide analysis to management comparing actual results vs. budget and forecast.
- Serve as a liaison between Finance and internal/external customers to provide solutions that meet Finance and customer needs.
- Supervise staff in specific finance areas; call center revenue and cash application, CAPEX and bank reconciliations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of accounting experience with large company and multiple legal entities.
- 3+ years previous experience with ERP accounting/reporting systems required such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, etc.
- Working knowledge of Forecast/budgeting software such as Hyperion, Prophix, Tableau, etc.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of integrated ERP accounting system such as Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP, Oracle, etc.
- Advanced skills in MicroSoft Excel and proficient with Word, Power Point and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed to deal directly with internal management, and external customers and vendors.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential material.
