As a Sr. Accounting Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the daily operations of the accounting team assigned to prepare and review the financial statements and maintain the general ledgers. You will assist and advise on all matters relative to financial operations.

- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
- Managing the preparation, reviewing, and closing of assigned financial statements, including journal entries, balance sheet reviews, account reconciliations, and analysis by the assigned team in a timely manner.
- Effectively managing and evaluating the staff assigned to their group. Identifying actions that need to occur and making recommendations to the leadership on staffing (job assignments, hiring, terminations, and transfers).
- Timely completing functional workloads as assigned (Revenue, Programming/PPV, Capital Expenditures, Corporate consolidation, Bank reconciliations, M&A, Charter Business, E-Rate, accrual support, audit support).
- Communicating with personnel on accounting-related issues involving their area of responsibility and the applicable staff.
- Completing special projects and working with other team members as needed.
- Completing all SOX work timely with signoffs and documentation. Communicating issues as needed to staff and management.
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, and local, state, and federal laws.
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Performing other duties as required.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- General ledger Accounting work experience – 7-10 years
- Supervisory experience – 3-5 years
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
- Ability to supervise and motivate others
- Demonstrated computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access
- Knowledge of Accounting theory and procedures
- Knowledge of SAP general ledger software as well as Business Objects, Essbase, Blackline
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry-related Accounting work experience
