Position Summary:
Barry-Wehmiller is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to support the Packaging Equipment business. This position joins our organization at an exciting time as we seek to achieve a bold vision for revenue growth and margin expansion. The Senior Finance Manager will serve as a key advisor and business reporting leader to the Vice President of Finance and work closely with other finance and non-finance leaders throughout the organization in pursuit of our business objectives. By staying connected to financial and operational performance and translating data to insights, this role can have a positive impact on our ability to meet strategic plan goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships throughout the organization that support effective teamwork and problem-solving
- Analyze financial and operational data to assess performance in the context of both short and long-term goals (e.g., annual budgets and strategic plans)
- Create visibility to the right metrics at the right time by building or improving reporting tools
- Develop financial models that translate business strategies into economic benefits
- Set performance targets that give teams clear direction and objectives to aim for
- Develop effective presentations and business updates to senior leaders throughout the organization that effectively communicate business results and inspire action
- Lead the annual budgeting cycle for the Packaging platform
Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance and/or accounting
- Five to seven years of progressive finance experience
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex team environment with multiple stakeholders; can serve both Finance and non-Finance business partners
- Learning agility to quickly understand new concepts and to support a diverse set of business partners across Engineering, Operations, and Commercial teams
- Able to manage a dynamic workload, bring projects to completion, and continuously evaluate scope of work for alignment with business priorities
- Ability to manage ambiguity
- Able to influence and persuade without authority
- High intellectual curiosity, strong desire to learn and improve
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to digest large amounts of data and think creatively
- Has an ownership attitude with regard to business performance
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Miscellaneous:
- Reports to the Packaging Platform Vice President of Finance; has dotted-line relationships with other Finance leaders
- Approximately 20% travel, mostly domestic
- To most effectively serve our customers and live into our culture, this role is based in the office. However, remote work days are occasionally available.
