Position Summary
The Anderson School of Management’s Department of Accounting at the University of New Mexico anticipates hiring Adjunct Faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Fall 2024, Spring 2025 and/or Summer 2025 semesters.
Departmental needs at this time may be best served by the hiring of temporary part-time faculty whose specialties are in the areas of Accounting, Tax, Auditing, and other courses within undergraduate and graduate programs.
The Anderson School of Management is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International and is one of the few programs in the world to attain both an Accounting and Business Accreditation from AACSB. We offer BBA and MBA degrees in 12 concentrations, as well as a Master of Accounting (MACCT), an Executive MBA for working professionals, an MBA in Education Leadership, a Master’s of Science in Cyber Security and Business Analytics, and a Master’s of Science in Project Management.
Positions are contingent upon need each semester as determined by student enrollment levels, current course offering matrix, and demand driven by graduation requirements. Positions may be filled or eliminated each semester up to the deadline for students to drop or add courses. Candidates who are selected for these positions will report to the Department Chairperson.
Wages
Adjunct Faculty at Anderson School of Management are currently compensated on the basis of their credentials and credit hour course loads. The typical pay rate for new Adjunct Faculty ranges between $4,211.10 - $6,015.86 per 3-credit hour course.
Best Consideration Dates
For best consideration please apply by these dates:
- June 24, 2024 for the Fall 2024 semester
- October 31, 2024 for the Spring 2025 semester
- March 30, 2025 for the Summer 2025 semester
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a field related to the area of the teaching assignment or Certified Public Accountant Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience/expertise in related field evidenced in cover letter and resume
- Evidence of teaching experience in resume
- MBA or Ph.D. in relevant field
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
