Essential Duties, functions & Responsibilities
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling accounts.
- Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING
Experience
- 2+ years of accounting/finance experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Working towards CPA preferred.
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to work across teams and with a variety of projects and constituencies.
- Working knowledge and proficiency in Excel.
- Good general knowledge of accounting principles and responsibilities.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills when interacting with Medix Infusion staff, vendors, and patients.
- Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Medix Infusion team.
Technology Skills:
- Competent in use of company email and Microsoft Teams as means of communication, accessing the company website to view company policies.
- Competent in the use of company self-service payroll software (time and attendance, benefits, pay statements).
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products and the ability to navigate Internet Explorer. Proficient in typing, word processing (Microsoft Outlook/Express, Word, Excel), and familiar with office equipment.
- Strong capacity to learn new software, as appropriate.
Language Skills:
- This position requires a knowledge of, and sensitivity to, cultural and language differences as they pertain to patient care delivery.
Mathematical Skills:
- Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical computations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, talk and hear. There may be prolonged periods of sitting, keyboarding, reading. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors, and staff.
