Move United, an affiliate of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee and a national leader in sports and recreation for individuals with disabilities, is seeking an Education Manager. General Description (Position Overview)
The Education Manager position will oversee educational programs and initiatives aimed at promoting inclusion through sports for individuals with disabilities. The candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to implement and evaluate educational strategies that align with Move United's mission and Vision 2028.
Specific Responsibilities
- Develop and implement educational programs that promote inclusion in sports.
- Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance program reach and effectiveness.
- Evaluate the impact of educational initiatives and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Provide training and resources for coaches, volunteers, and community partners.
- Manage program budgets and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
- Assist in the development of promotional materials and outreach efforts.
- Participate in fundraising efforts to support educational initiatives.
Reporting Relationship
The Education Manager reports to the Chief Program Officer.
Position Requirements:
Work Experience:
- Experience in program management or education, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Knowledge of adaptive sports and inclusion practices.
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent communication skills and outstanding customer service experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
- A proven track record of initiative and effective decision-making.
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
- Experience with program evaluation and assessment tools is a plus.
Education:
A degree in education, sports management, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in a range of technology and online platforms (for example; Microsoft products, Adobe Acrobat, Wordpress, Salesforce, video conferencing systems, or similar) and the ability to use general office technology.
