Asset & Wealth Management (“AWM”):
AWM invests in private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure and other alternative investments around the world on behalf of third parties, Goldman Sachs and its employees. AWM operates a global platform and our team works in a fast-paced, exciting environment. We look for individuals with versatile skills and a passion for investing.
Within AWM, the Fund & Information Management Group supports the investing teams in a variety of functions, including structuring and closing investments and the ongoing management and reporting of AWM’s alternative investment funds and related financing facilities. FMG is also responsible for various analyses and projections in support of the business.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Managing a series of alternative investment funds and related investment vehicles
- Facilitating portfolio allocations and investment closing logistics
- Monitoring and maintaining compliance with credit facilities
- Preparing/writing investor correspondence, fund performance updates and related analyses
- Reviewing financial statements and working with fund accountants to resolve questions
- Tracking/reporting/analyzing detailed performance metrics
- Creating management presentations/responding to ad hoc requests and preparing analyses for same
- Supporting/furthering technology initiatives related to the above responsibilities
- Additional responsibilities will be based on the needs of the division and the candidate’s specific skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or other business discipline
- Public Accounting / Asset Management experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills and detail orientation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, oral as well as written
- Strong coordination and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently in a small team, exhibit initiative and be proactive
- Ability to organize and analyze large volumes of information
- Interest in working on technology initiatives
- Team player, willing to help in areas not explicitly related to job duties
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills
- CPA or equivalent certification a plus
