This position will work on a hybrid schedule out of our corporate office location in Milwaukee.
Primary Function
Perform a variety of activities in the preparation, examination, and interpretation of accounting and financial records, reports, and statements. The position will be involved with the general ledger, month end closing, and other financial analyses at the request of the Corporate Accounting Director and Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis.
This role is eligible for a remote work schedule of up to two days remote work per week. New employees are eligible to apply after successfully completing their initial 90 days of employment and training.
Responsibilities
Corporate Accounting
- Prepares consolidated internal financial statements by gathering information from the consolidation software.
- Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close.
- Prepares quarterly and annual SEC financial filings and footnotes.
- Support functional business groups and provide feedback and analysis to the Corporate stakeholders by developing and maintaining standardized reporting.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to address complex accounting issues and recommend appropriate treatments.
- Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of all accounting policies, financial systems, processes, and controls.
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Assist in consolidated annual and monthly forecasts.
- Back up BPC system administrator.
- Develop and maintain dashboarding and data visualization to convey financial results.
- Collaborate with members of the business unit FP&A teams to ensure forecast accuracy and monitor performance.
- Ensure consistent, reliable, and timely information is distributed to all financial forecast users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, finance, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of financial experience or exposure to accounting systems.
Additional Qualifications:
- CPA required.
- Minimum of five years of related work experience.
- Familiarity with GAAP and corporate finance principles and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret documents and data.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Maintain confidentiality of non-public information.
- Strong communication skills both orally and written.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information and documents.
Education
Baccalaureate in Finance or Accounting.
Years of Experience
Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
