Role Summary
- Manages professional and/or support staff responsible for the accounting and reporting activities of an assigned accounting process and/or T. Rowe Price Group subsidiary or branch that are small to medium in size and complexity.
- Responsible for accurately implementing quality, well-controlled accounting and reporting processes; contributes to the execution of accounting and reporting policies.
- Contributes to the achievement of goals and objectives for assigned accounting process or entity.
Responsibilities:
- Using accounting and regulatory expertise and knowledge of standard products and services, provides accounting guidance to relevant stakeholders and manages a team's execution of accounting and reporting processes for an accounting process or T. Rowe Price Group subsidiary or branch in compliance with regulations. May communicate less complex information to stakeholders, including senior leadership, business unit management, business partners, and assurance partners.
- Implements the accounting and reporting policies, compliance analytics, and metrics reporting process. Helps to ensure the maintenance of accounting processes for assigned areas or T. Rowe Price Group subsidiary or branch.
- Manages the team's transformation of data into information for accounting and reporting purposes. Reviews work papers and documentation for accuracy and completeness. Contributes to the identification of opportunities for accounting and reporting process improvement. Resolves escalated identified issues, addresses data errors with the team, and advises on improvements.
- May lead assignments across accounting and reporting functions associated with a T. Rowe Price Group subsidiary or branch, business unit, or accounting processes that have an impact on the internal and external reporting, accounting, and accounting process.
- Recruits, directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Accountable for the management of the financial and human resources of their assigned team to include budgeting, hiring, discipline, etc.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
- 5+ years of total relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Shows drive and determination
- Motivation and positive attitude
- Strong independence and passion to get results
- Confident in presentation abilities and communicating with senior stakeholders
- Experience writing training material
- Working experience with ServiceNow, Oracle ERP Services, Microsoft Excel, SAP Concur, Coupa
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.
