The Senior Financial Analyst position involves analyzing and investigating complex information reported in the internal financial statements and other key financial reports. This individual will work closely with finance leadership and the divisional FP&A team to analyze financial results for our Medline Brand product divisions. This role will include participating in finance special projects aimed to drive simplification and increase efficiency.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze financial results, trends and metrics on a monthly basis and meet with Corporate FP&A team to communicate their net results. Communicate key drivers in regards to the full financial profit and loss statement (sales, AGM, customer drivers, adjustments, etc.).
- Play a key role in the forecasting process (annual budget, quarterly, and long-range forecasts) by guiding divisional finance teams on crucial input drivers and summarizing/communicating the comprehensive financial story to finance partners.
- Participate in finance special projects to simplify COGS analysis and Sales Reporting.
- Leverage technology, such as Alteryx and Tableau, to advance our reporting and data-analytic capabilities.
- Work across all pillars of Finance & Accounting as needed such as during month-end close or on specific projects.
- Participate in quarterly/monthly financial business reviews with Division Management, Sponsors, and Corporate FP&A team. Create presentations for the monthly, quarterly, and AOP board of director updates.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- At least 3 years of financial planning, reporting, and analysis experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including PowerPivot, PowerQuery, pivot tables, financial modeling).
- Experience working with Alteryx, Tableau, and SQL.
- Experience working with an ERP system – SAP experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in Finance or Accounting.
- Tableau and Alteryx experience preferred.
- SQL experience preferred.
