The Business Analyst, Hire-to-Retire (H2R) will work closely with business stakeholders to understand current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement by bringing industry best practices to integrate various HR systems, producing actionable insights for stakeholders. This role will also rationalize/optimize local HR applications for better manageability and transparency. They will elicit and document detailed requirements and collaborate with development teams for implementation. The process space includes resource planning, recruitment, onboarding, organization and position management, personnel administration, payroll, complete compensation, talent management and development, and offboarding of resources.
Scope of responsibilities shall include contributing to the improvement of existing Human Resources Management processes, in particular in the areas of Organization and position management; Personnel administration; Payroll & compensation; Recruiting and onboarding; Evaluation lifecycle management; Staff development and learning; and other HRM processes.
General Responsibilities
- Work directly with business team members to understand the individual needs of the business.
- Analyze process issues and bottlenecks to identify and document potential improvements, coordinate with different departmental teams to produce better business outcomes and identify automation opportunities.
- Write clear and well-structured business requirements/documents and communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project teams to clarify and improve requirements during implementation and to assist with project management and solution delivery.
- Develop clear requirements traceability and test plans to facilitate unit, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Coordinate and facilitate end-user testing for solution acceptance.
- Negotiate agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.
- Assist in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
- Conduct prototypes, data mapping, function mapping, setting of configuration tables and transaction/control tables.
- Involved in security/authorization set-up, user documentation, data interface design, data migration, and reconciliation.
- May be involved in the installation and tuning of modifications, as well as archiving data.
- This position may require light programming skills in the appropriate language to develop scripts for analysis and prototyping.
Required Skills/Abilities
- A university degree (i.e. Bachelor's degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Exceptional requirements elicitation and documentation skills required.
- Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as an understanding of the IT organization’s systems and capabilities.
- Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge.
- Has a thorough understanding of the business processes and flows to enable the analysis of business requirements and the development of solutions for the business functions.
- Superior presentation and negotiation skills, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail. Strong analytical and developed problem-solving skills, creative and innovative thinker.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with team members, developers, project managers, and customer support.
Specific Experience
- Strong background in a Business Analyst or similar role with a focus on supporting Human Resources teams and bringing industry best practices.
- Experience with Workday, ADP, global payroll such as TMF and benefits systems in a multi-national enterprise, Mercer data, engagement survey applications such as Glint or Microsoft Viva.
- Exceptional requirements elicitation and documentation skills required.
- Superior presentation and negotiation skills, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail. Strong analytical and developed problem-solving skills, creative and innovative thinker.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with team members, developers, project managers, and customer support.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Three years of related business analysis experience required.
