Tesla is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Property Tax Analyst to join our global tax department. The Senior Property Tax Analyst will be a key contributor to the property tax team and will expand property tax expertise within the finance organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing all aspects of the property tax function and be part of an integrated team. What You’ll Do
- Annual property tax compliance for accounts ranging from small returns to major manufacturing in a high volume environment
- Reviewing assessment notices to identify opportunities for appeals
- Processing assessment notices and tax bills in OPT (formerly OneSource) software
- Responding to and completing audits
- Assisting property tax team in automation and process improvement projects
- Providing property tax forecasts and implications to other Teams within Tesla
- Assisting in the management of exemptions, PILOT agreements, and Incentive Agreements
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax and/or Finance preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of property tax experience
- Property tax software experience, OPT (formerly OneSource) preferred
- Extremely strong attention to detail
- Self-starter who can organize, prioritize, and manage urgent and competing deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding work environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
