A successful Senior Payroll Services Trust Accounting Analyst will:
- Obtain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure and systems
- Prepare the monthly financial management review package, including AR and AP aging reports, outstanding check reports, variance and flux analysis, reconciliations, etc.
- Own monthly general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accurate ledger balances
- Assist in researching and providing support for external audit team requests
- Prepare non-routine/ad-hoc reporting requests
- Help lead projects to enhance the department's workflow
- Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
- Provide excellent support on internal and external customer inquiries
- Be a role model for BambooHR values
What You Need to Get the Job Done:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- 5+ years of experience in an accounting role; prior US payroll and payroll tax experience preferred
- Experience with complex reconciliation projects
- Working knowledge of accounting software and common accounting principles and practices
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to multi-task
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, both written and verbal
- Proficient computer skills, including intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel
- Belief in BambooHR values
