The Senior Financial Analyst will be pivotal in developing and enhancing financial reporting processes and materials for Magnetics internal and external stakeholders, including Magnetics leadership team, MP Materials executive suite, various internal and external customers. The role will be instrumental in supporting our partnership with General Motors and building analytics for contract compliance. Additionally, this role will support financial close activities, annual planning, quarterly forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Collect and analyze financial data to synthesize management reports and ad-hoc analyses.
- Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare reports and pricing calculations to facilitate strategic customer contracts forecasting and billing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and deliverables to enhance financial information quality and relevance.
- Utilize Power BI to develop additional financial decision-making tools for the Magnetics team.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and weekly manager reports.
- Contribute to the reporting, analysis, and oversight of capital projects.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from the Corporate team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree with focus in finance, accounting, math, or economics.
- Experience with business intelligence software such as Power BI, MS Excel and SQL.
- 3+ year work experience in manufacturing or public company experience is desired.
- Strong understanding of financial statements.
- Experience with manufacturing accounting systems, such as SAP, is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and ability to learn independently.
- Ability to work collaboratively, cross-functionally, and with all levels within the organization, including senior management.
