What you’ll do as a Senior Accountant
- Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close consolidations process
- Assist with the review and analysis of subsidiary results, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
- Review consolidated financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Assist with the review and monitoring of monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and analysis as needed
- Prepare government surveys and questionnaires as required.Assist with General Ledger maintenance as needed
- Participate in the development and maintenance of key accounting policies, accounting files and work papers, and system process documentation
- Identify risks and assist with process improvements, design, and implementation of controls in accordance with SOX
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal accounting policies and controls
- Assist on projects, including process improvements and control initiatives, as well as system implementations
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting - CPA is strongly preferred
- 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting
- Analytical skills with knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP standards
- Demonstrated ability to understand and process financial and accounting data
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and coachability
- Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Previous experience or exposure to large ERP systems highly preferred
- Experience working with Google Drive, Smartsheet, Alteryx, and Power BI a plus
