Position Description:
This position serves as the Unit Financial Administrator III for the School of Nursing and acts as primary liaison with other divisions and departments including Health Sciences Center (HSC) Finance, Clinical Contracts Division, Grants Management, Sponsor Program Financials and Position Management. This position is responsible for managing multiple unit financials within the School of Nursing and will monitor, maintain, reconcile unit programs, and other budgets, build BA3 data and generate reports using this as a tool for reconciling against PeopleSoft activities. This position will assist in gathering and preparing annual budget information and assisting with budget entry into BAM. This position also prepares requisitions, invoicing, procard reconciliation review, and payroll expense transfers. Candidate should be a self-motivated individual who is very detail oriented, focused, team player, reliable and has the ability to prioritize and multitask in a busy financial department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and review speedtype reconciliations and upload in OnBase while adhering to strict university deadlines and policies.
- Monitor purchasing activities, including approving ProCards/Travel Card transactions, Journal Vouchers, and PeopleSoft Financials activities like travel/expense requests, pay requests, and requisitions; assist employees with learning the processes for submitting requests through PeopleSoft Financials and using University-issued ProCards/Travel Cards, prepare UL deposits for all units within the School of Nursing.
- Assist Director of Finance during the budget development process to develop all new year operating budgets based on a combination of historical data, feedback from division heads regarding requested changes and the outlook for future updates and the current budget circumstances of the University.
- Track employee salaries, serve as backup in updating funding sources in Workday, and initiate PETs as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and faculty on University, Health Science Campus, and School of Nursing financial policies and procedures.
- Participate in division/department meetings and special projects as needed.
- This position will assist with School of Nursing initiatives and events and serve as backup to other administrative staff in the School of Nursing Administrative Office as needed.

Target Compensation Maximum: $87,300
Target Compensation Minimum: $58,200
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
