POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant leads the general ledger accounting and month-end close and consolidation processes in a fast-paced and global corporate environment. Key accountabilities include preparing journal entries, reconciling monthly banking activity, fixed asset accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Execute the month-end close and consolidation process accurately and in compliance with reporting schedules
- Calculation, documentation, and recording of journal entries related to all aspects of the business
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of bank statements
- Maintain monthly reconciliation workbook for balance sheet accounts
- Support internal and external audits to meet schedules
- Support AP, AR, Tax, and Revenue functions with accurate accounting support
- Support and mentor staff accountants
- Drive the continuous improvement and utilization of existing financial systems and accounting processes
- Perform complex accounting analysis for non-routine transactions and account reconciliations

- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP and ability to apply accounting principles in a fast-paced environment
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited university
- CPA strongly preferred
- +3 years in full-cycle corporate accounting or public accounting audit experience with progressive responsibility
- Proven experience thriving in a changing and dynamic environment
- Experience using Microsoft suite of products and commercial ERP systems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances, lift and carry parcels, packages, and other items
