Corporate Accountant - (Associate, Controllership) - Hybrid - Dallas
- Responsible for the operations and controls surrounding accounting, tax, and financial reporting.
- Demonstrates expertise in processing transactions, recording accounting entries, managing the general ledger and reconciliations, and interpreting and complying with technical accounting matters and financial reporting disclosure requirements.
- Through the Controllership function, stakeholders receive relevant insight and commentary on transaction-level and financial results for analysis and decision-making.
- The position is based in Dallas, Texas. It is a hybrid role in which you will be in the office three (3) days a week—working from the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and another day of your choosing—and working two (2) days remotely from home.
Essential Functions:
- Administers the processing, accounting entries, reconciliations, reporting, analysis, and documentation of assigned job areas within the Corporate Accounting Team.
- Analytics related to expenses, accruals, and other financial statement accounts.
- Creates and/or improves current accounting and reporting processes; recommends enhancements or improvements.
- Manages relevant accruals and maintains accrual position reports for ease of tracking.
- Reconciles Corporate Accounts, including payroll-related accounts from the HR Workday subsystem to the General Ledger.
- Maintains monthly processes related to accruals and books monthly journal entries.
- Informs, gains input, and supports decision-making by sharing knowledge, status, needs, and issues across business lines.
- Guides and assists junior-level professionals as needed.
- Prepares / Reviews, reconciles, or analyzes accounting entries, transactions, general ledger, and consolidation results.
Other Functions:
- End-to-end deep dive reviews and transformation routines.
- Accounting reporting tools, analytics, and enhancements.
- Special projects as requested.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree: Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of relatable experience in accounting, financial reporting, and auditing or field equivalent work experience. Experience in expense accrual process, analyzing expenses and payroll.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Preferred: CPA - Certified Public Accountant
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrate competence in accounting practices and procedures, including US GAAP/IFRS and regulatory reporting standards.
- Strong understanding of the expense accrual process with relevant experience.
- Practical analytical and accounting skills.
- Good understanding of payroll and able to discover discrepancies and correct them immediately.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to focus on details to ensure and maintain data accuracy and demonstrate a holistic understanding of accounting and financial reports.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong MS Excel skills - Will be researching variances.
- Intermediate to Advanced experience with MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Access.
- Accounting software experience in Oracle and SAP is a plus.
- Ability to demonstrate continuous improvement through training.

Base Pay Range
Minimum: $52,500.00 USD
Maximum: $90,000.00 USD
