The Legal Analyst will provide services to the Company, within the Legal Department, including managing the contract lifecycle, drafting and reviewing legal documents subject to the review and approval of Company attorneys, filing legal documents, performing audits as assigned, and preparing legal documents and policies/procedures. This position reports to the RouteOne Senior Counsel and performs the functions below.
Job Elements
- Primary responsibility is management of the lifecycle of Company contracts:
- Determining and implementing best practices for contract management.
- Identifying contractual provisions for review and approval by Company attorneys.
- Assessing customer status and conversions and recommending the appropriate courses of action for contractual requirements.
- Inventorying and archiving legal agreements and documents on an annual basis or otherwise as assigned.
- Conducting internal audits to confirm compliance with contract terms.
- Conducting review and comparison of agreements as requested.
- Provides project management support to Legal Department as needed:
- Work with Management, staff, and external resources to identify, investigate, and address issues, tasks, and related requirements needed for successful project completion and recommend to Management, staff, and external resources solutions to successfully complete such projects.
- Responsible for identifying issues and recommending risk mitigation strategies in order to achieve project objectives, including ensuring that open items are appropriately resolved and closed by the responsible resources.
- Create, manage, and update work plans, and ensure resources are executing tasks to plan.
- Analyze, create, document, and implement guidelines, standards, and procedures.
- Produce project documentation, overviews, roadmaps, and project summaries.
- Manages the processing, tracking, and payment of legal and security vendor invoices (including coordinating with outside counsel/vendors to assist Accounting Team with month/quarter/annual close).
- Manages Legal Department documentation and communication:
- Fully-indexed and cross-referenced bank of briefs, memoranda, and other research documents previously produced by the Company, as needed.
- Tracking patent/trademark applications and issuances and maintaining executive summary of the same.
- Mass mailing and emailing of finance source and dealer communications, legal notices, and requests for agreements.
- Provides assistance to the Legal Department relating to responses to issues or preparation and review of documents including graphic aids, presentations, tables, slides, and other audio/visual devices.
- Coordinates scope change review meetings and resulting review of systems requirement specification documentation.
- Provides best-in-class customer service in all customer interactions.
- Provides support to the Security Department on an as needed basis.
- Maintains safety, security, and privacy standards throughout all areas of responsibility.
- Performs related work as required.

Other Essential Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited four-year university; or
- Three or more years of professional related experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
