This is a hybrid role based in Hoffman Estates, IL.
The Senior Financial Analyst, Spend Control Tower is responsible for managing a key initiative for Claire’s related to oversight of all indirect spend across NA Claire's. This role owns the Claire’s spend control tower and supports the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team on conducting growth and cost-related financial analysis and executing key milestones and initiatives across the global enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and own the Claire’s Spend Control Tower, the centralized tool and process for critically reviewing all indirect enterprise spend. This responsibility also entails:
- Conducting spend analysis and assisting in business case creation.
- Tracking and reporting organizational compliance and impact to executive leaders.
- Preparing for and managing thrice-weekly spend review meetings with the Chief Accounting Officer and other senior business leaders.
- Managing and executing follow-up analyses and initiatives to improve organizational efficiency and reduce cost.
- Support business partners from all departments in spend review submission, data collection, cost savings, and third-party negotiation related initiatives.
- Assist with preparation of various monthly and quarterly presentations.
- Serve as a Reporting & Analytics expert for the business.
- Automate manual tasks, reporting, and collaboration techniques to increase productivity and accuracy.
- Conduct and support bespoke analyses and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field of study.
- 1-3 years of professional FP&A experience in a retail, CPG, or similar industry organization (internship experience may be considered).
- Demonstrated experience managing financial models.
- Insatiable curiosity to find and deliver value.
- Advanced Excel skills required, proficient with Microsoft Office product suite.
- Advanced analytical skills coupled with an ability to interpret data, communicate findings, and propose recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to balance competing priorities and secure resolution through interdepartmental collaboration.
- Ability to perform and remain organized in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Aptitude to influence colleagues, peers, and cross-functional teams, at all levels, throughout the organization.
