We are looking for a highly experienced IT Asset Manager to oversee and manage the lifecycle of hardware and software assets globally across our organization. In this role, you will manage a team responsible for asset tracking, deployment, and compliance, ensuring cost-effectiveness and strategic alignment. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record in IT asset management, particularly in utilizing ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) or similar tools, and a strong focus on process improvement and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware and Software Inventory: Lead efforts to maintain accurate and efficient tracking of all IT hardware and software assets, ensuring records are continuously updated in ServiceNow CMDB.
- Drive and lead the definition, maintenance, and updating of policies and procedures for effective management of the IT asset lifecycle including acquisition, deployment, utilization, de-installation, reallocations, and disposal.
- Vendor and Contract Management: Oversee vendor relationships, participate in contract negotiations, lead the renewal cycle, and ensure compliance for software licenses and hardware warranties.
- License Compliance and Audits: Regularly audit software licenses and hardware assets to ensure full compliance with vendor agreements and internal policies.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of IT asset analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.
- Reporting and Metrics: Provide regular reports and insights on asset utilization, cost trends, and opportunities for optimization to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to streamline asset management processes, automate workflows, and reduce manual effort through continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Partner with security, procurement, and finance teams to align asset management goals with business objectives and cost-saving measures.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in IT asset management, with a strong understanding of hardware and software lifecycle management.
- 2+ years of experience leading teams or managing direct reports in a technology or IT operations environment.
- Certifications: Active International Association of IT Asset Managers (IAITAM), Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM), or Certified Hardware Asset Manager (CHAMP) certifications.
- Experience with ServiceNow SAM and HAM modules, incidents, change and procurement.
- Skills Summary:
- Proficiency in asset management tools such as ServiceNow, Excel, or other ITAM platforms.
- Strong understanding of software asset lifecycle including licensing models, compliance, optimization strategies and reporting.
- Strong understanding of hardware asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal, including cost savings strategies.
- Experience managing enterprise software licenses (e.g., Microsoft), including contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Experience with inventory management, asset tagging, tracking and reporting.
- Understanding of ITIL framework, especially in relation to asset and configuration management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in generating and interpreting asset management reports and metrics.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management related to software and hardware asset management, including data security and compliance standards.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop high performing asset management team.
- Experience in strategic planning and developing/implementation of asset management strategies that align with Yum’s organizational goals.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee large scale asset management projects.
- Experience leading organizational change initiatives related to asset management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
Salary Range: $104,600-135,300 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
