Idaho Asphalt Supply, Inc. is a leading asphalt supplier and marketer in the Inland Northwest and Pacific Northwest Regions. With plants in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, California, and Arizona, IAS supplies a diverse product line of asphalts, polymer-modified asphalt, and asphalt emulsions to the road maintenance and construction industry. IAS is looking for an energized and flexible self-starter to fill a full-time opening for an Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk reporting to the Assistant Controller in our Idaho Falls Corporate Office. This is an entry-level position.
Position Responsibilities:
The AP/AR Clerk is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. Duties include the following:
- Verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Process payments in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist with matching inventory and freight documentation
- Communicate regularly with invoice approvers throughout the company
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Research and answer vendor inquiries
- Assist with month-end closing activities
Position Requirements:
To be a strong fit for this opportunity you will have:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- 0-1+ years of accounts payable experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Multitask oriented, organized, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience in the transportation industry a plus but not required
