Gensco currently has an amazing opportunity for a Pricing Analyst available to join our Pricing Team at our Corporate Offices in Tacoma, WA!

Full Time - Starting pay range $23- $28/hour based on experience
Summary
- Perform a broad range of pricing and administrative responsibilities.
- Make pricing decisions that align with the Company’s established profit and sales goals.
- Analyze competitor pricing matched with market expectations to determine the ideal target price for products of the business.
- Provide excellent customer service to the Sales Team and Branches.
- Support the Pricing Department in price adjustments, sales analysis, pricing inquiries, and all internal communication of pricing information.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Pricing Responsibilities:
- Make informed pricing decisions within established guidelines utilizing pricing related data including historical prices, inventory data, customer data, and competitive intelligence.
- Collect, catalog, and update competitive information submitted by the Sales Team in order to make informed pricing decisions.
- Input pricing for flyers and promotions.
- Audit the External Claim Back Report, confirming correct product costs are submitted to our suppliers for claim backs.
- Identify ideal pricing structures and sales funnels.
- Optimize pricing decisions to increase profit margins.
- Sales Support Responsibilities:
- Work with the Sales Support team for flyer and promotional pricing and identify appropriate special vendor costs as needed.
- Gather input and create sales pricing libraries for specific product groups and customer types.
- Analyze pricing contracts for underperformance and work with the Sales Team to resolve non-performing issues.
- Work with the Sales Team on submitting and maintaining factory quotes prices and costs.
- Work with the Purchasing Team to secure special or locked supplier costs when necessary.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 4-year degree or minimum 4 years industry experience preferred
- Customer service-oriented approach, responds to requests with a sense of urgency
- Excellent interpersonal skills in person, over the phone, and by email.
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Financial and numerical aptitude
- Ability to identify opportunities and solve complex problems
- Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy in a multi-task environment
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs and proficiency in Excel
- Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
- Must be comfortable working in a team-oriented, fast-paced, multiple task and customer-focused environment
- Requires the ability to move freely about the facility, work sitting or standing, operate basic business machines, and lift and carry office supplies
