Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (Req ID 72263)
The Manager will be on the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team helping to support the Global Distribution business unit. This will include financial reporting, strategic planning, forecasting, financial modeling and partnering with the business. The leader will be responsible for analyzing the financials of the business unit to identify and communicate areas of financial risk and/or opportunity. They will possess a mix of complex business analysis and problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge/interest in asset management and global trends.
A successful candidate will work independently to meet deadlines receiving minimal guidance and hold themselves accountable to meet and exceed objectives. They will utilize collaboration, organization, and communication skills to work with various stakeholders across Finance and the business unit supported.
Responsibilities:
Performs complex historical analyses to support end-to-end processes within Finance, including the support for the period close, analyses of performance such as forecasted period revenue and expenses against actual results, and metrics and scorecard reporting. Identifies and monitors trends and potential implications for financials and decision-making.
Updates/refines short-term and long-range forecasts and methodologies using multiple inputs and assumptions to reflect changes in business strategies using deep knowledge of the business unit gained through business partnerships.
Supports business unit decision making by leveraging advanced Excel modeling skills
Conducts trend analysis on financial data and operating performance. Develops recommendations on improving efficiency and effectiveness.
Participates in the development of annual operating and strategic plans. Compiles financial information and conducts analysis as needed to evaluate the financial impact of new projects and business opportunities.

Confidence and ability to interact with senior leadership
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced Power Point and Excel skills
High proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing complex financial data into meaningful executive summary statements
Responsive, team-oriented approach with excellent client-service skills for effective relations with internal clients
Experience with Power BI a plus
Experience with financial planning systems (i.e. Oracle, SmartView)
Knowledge of accounting principles
Knowledge of Financial Services Industry
Advanced Degree or certification (MBA, CPA or CFA)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree AND
5+ years of total relevant work experience
FINRA Requirements: FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility: This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.
