Job Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in the financial operations of the company. This position involves assisting with the month-end closing process, developing financial models, completing comprehensive reporting packages, and handling ad hoc reporting requests.
Job Description:
Essential Functions:
- Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports for management and the parent company in Korea.
- Variance Analysis: Perform budget and forecast to actual variance analysis, providing detailed investigations and commentary for the executive team and business leaders in both English and Korean.
- Trend Analysis: Analyze current and historical trends in key performance indicators, financial data, and statistical studies to support strategic decision-making.
- Expense & Cost Accounts Review: Conduct thorough reviews of expense and cost account variances and analyze fluctuations.
- Margin and Inventory Analysis: Prepare comprehensive analysis of margin and inventory reports, including aging, trends, and forecasts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with accounting team members to understand needs, provide recommendations, and support execution.
- Tax Coordination: Serve as the internal point of contact for external tax consultants, providing necessary information and coordination.
- Special Projects: Participate in various special projects as needed, contributing financial expertise and analytical skills.
Qualifications:
- Education: BS/BA in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience: 3+ years of broad managerial accounting experience, including transactional processes, financial statement preparation, taxation, and fixed assets management.
- Technical Skills: Advanced understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting, analysis, costing, and profitability methodologies. Expert knowledge of Excel (including pivot tables and macros), PowerPoint, and Word.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with a variety of internal and external personnel.
- Time Management: Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload effectively.
- Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is required.
