About the Role:
Ready to advance your accounting career with the Milwaukee Bucks? We're seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team and make a significant impact. Join us and be part of a driven franchise dedicated to excellence in every aspect of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- General Ledger Management: Coordinate and maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with NBA BRI and CFS audits, providing necessary information and documentation.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.
- Collaboration: Partner with different departments to offer financial insights and support for central initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in accounting or finance, with a strong background in financial reporting and analysis.
- Certification: CPA or equivalent certification is a plus, but not required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and collaborators.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, determine root causes, and successfully implement solutions.
- Great Teammate: A strong focus on collaboration and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
