We are seeking a Business Development Consultant to join our US Retail sales team in Nashville, TN. This position is responsible for growing sales and revenue of the Digitally Identified Target Client (DITC) client base within their assigned territory. This role will heavily leverage data analysis and digital outreach to provide a targeted, personalized client experience, and encompasses a unique opportunity to inform and influence new distribution approaches. A data-driven mindset is key along with a strong team orientation. The US Retail sales team is responsible for developing and servicing sales of all AB products with financial advisors. The candidate will interact with financial advisors and their team members and is expected to take an entrepreneurial approach to growing sales as well as servicing a base of AB products and services.
Specific Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Build long-lasting relationships with DITC financial advisors in a targeted approach by leveraging data and digital technology.
- Proactively develop business through a data-driven client segmentation strategy and execute on targeted sales tactics to identify, prioritize, and convert new producers.
- Analyze data to deepen understanding of customer/prospect business needs, evaluate the potential of prospects, and test, measure and refine tactics to effectively sell AB solutions.
- Engage customers and communicate AB’s thought leadership, solutions and value add services across multiple channels.
- Deep interest in establishing new approaches with a commitment to generating business results.
- Assistance in novel content creation for client and prospect engagement.
Job Qualifications & Key Attributes
The ideal candidate should have:
- A degree in finance or similar field.
- 3-5 years of client-facing experience growing sales in the financial services industry.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Demonstrated experience in consultative selling and relationship management.
- Adept at analyzing data to drive engagement and outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to be self-directed and work independently, with proven decision-making skills and sound business judgment.
- Collaborative and open to other viewpoints.
- Demonstrating agility and innovation when faced with complexity and/or adversity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn other sales enablement tools; CRM experience is preferred.
