Consulting's Financial Services Practice is a dynamic and rapidly expanding sector, offering strategic advisory services to a diverse range of clients in industries including banking, payments, fintech, wealth management, and insurance. Additionally, we serve investors seeking to acquire or deploy capital and generate return in Financial Services and FinTech. We are at the forefront of industry transformation, providing expert guidance on enterprise and business unit strategy, market and product growth strategy, emerging growth domains (e.g., embedded finance), innovation, digital strategy, business model transformation, as well as customer strategy and engagement.

The Consultant role is at the core of our case team structure. Coming from diverse backgrounds and using their creative problem-solving and managerial skills, Consultants at L.E.K. guide our case teams to provide clients insights with impact. You will make a difference by driving our teams to deliver actionable advice and strategies to help our clients win. Consultants at L.E.K. manage a team of Associates and/or Associate Consultants right from the start, and are on point to ensure the team is addressing client problems and delivering an answer. While every case is different, Consultants’ primary responsibilities typically include:
- Breaking down and outlining the client’s key strategic issues.
- Designing and supervising the team’s core research tasks and analyses day-to-day.
- Developing presentations and other deliverable structures.
- Participating in the communication of project conclusions to client senior management.
- Providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback to more junior staff.

Qualifications:
- Financial Services/FinTech experience: In-depth sector experience exhibited through working within a specific financial services industry (e.g., banking, payments, wealth, financial technology, or insurance), or across multiple financial services/FinTech domains. Along with an understanding of the dynamics, key trends, challenges, and opportunities facing the sector presently.
- Exceptional Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and quantitative capabilities, with a history of generating actionable insights and driving data-driven decision-making.
- Outstanding Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to a variety of audiences.
- Collaborative Leadership Style: Ability to inspire and motivate teams, build consensus, and drive collaboration across diverse stakeholders.
- Deep Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the financial services industry, including key trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Consultants at L.E.K. typically have MBAs and/or a number of years of relevant business experience.

The base salary for the Consultant position is $185,000 (USD). L.E.K. Consulting offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience as well as a performance bonus, profit sharing, and other benefits. The realization of performance bonuses and profit sharing are influenced by both individual and firm performance. Broader firm benefits include 401K, Health/dental/vision insurance, paid vacation and holidays, sick leave and short and long term disability insurance.
